Business Focus

Building neighbours started operations in march of 2013.  We understand that it will take considerable time to build a client base and database of developers and projects for our "retail" business.  We will be focussing our business model on two fronts:  municipal goovernment and retail.

Municipal governments:  We know that municipal governments need to identify and implement ways to simultaneously imprive their services to taxpayers, while they manage or cut costs.  Building Neighbours, in a fully customized, "white-labelled" or branded model, is able to accomplish both in working with core business systems in municipal governments.  Our website improves taxpayer and customer service by providing residents with a safe, controlled and managed online location to host building plans and neighbourhood changes.   We reduce costs by providing a user-enabled tool to manage communications, project progress, responses and municipal interactions.  Neighbours and residents will be able to go to their local municipal government website to be linked to a listing, map and development details for every proposed project that is outside current zoning requirements.  In this way, municipal employees time is greatly freed up to work directly on the zoning applications, engineering and architectural elements of the proposals, rather than the customer-facing administration.

Retail:  Building Neighbours enables individual homeowners, builders and developers to manage their own outbound communications with neighbourshoods, residents and municipal governments.   Building Neighbours provides retail clients with fields that typical municipal governments require, plus all those other questions that we know builders face in applying for zoning variations.  Our clients will be able to provide all the necessary and interesting information needed for neighbours to understand all elements of the proposed project, and in respose, for the builders/homeowners/developers to understand how their project is interpreted by the neighbourhood.
